Bicu is a young restaurant chain and craft-beer producer based in Northern Italy. In October 2010 Meloria agency was assigned the task to rethink the whole identity and communication strategy, including the point-of-purchase advertising.
I was in charge of the pilot project, the menus' redesign which set the standards for the new communication format, under Cristina Baccelli's creative direction.
My assignment was to design 4 bilingual menus (Restaurant, After-dinner, Craft-beers and Kids) which included a huge selection of dishes, keeping them neatly organized and appealing to customers.
I also drew a set of 15 icons, to help distinguish each category and easily find the perfect dish, and art directed the creation of 6 comic-style characters for the kids menu, illustrated by Cristina Mormile.
Children love them!
