Assemblaggi (Assemblages) was an exhibition of artworks by Luca Mannino, held in Rome in September-October 2010. Luca is an artist from Palermo, who gathers objects, electronic and mechanical components and assembles them to create unique compositions.
I projected the catalog for the exhibition, together with Antonio Cusimano. Our main goal was either to show the whole artworks (mainly representing mechanical animals and characters) and to focus also on small details which enhance the viewer's experience. This was achieved avoiding the use of square frames and creating rich and engaging pages: every page's layout is different, according to the nature of each work.
I also had the chance to draw some two-color illustrations, based on Luca's works, to integrate the introduction and the artist's bio.
